(G)I-DLE prepared fans for a bold new chapter in their career with the announcement of their first English-language EP, HEAT.
The release was originally scheduled for September 8, but 88rising and CUBE Entertainment announced that the EP would be delayed to October 6 to “ensure the best quality for (G)-IDLE fans all around the world.”
HEAT features five tracks performed entirely in English, as (G)I-DLE expands their global reach and explores new musical styles. The EP includes the pre-released single “I Do,” a synth-pop ballad reflecting on lost love, as well as “I Want That,” a Euro-dance track full of energy and intensity.
Other songs such as “Eyes Roll,” “Flip It,” and “Tall Trees” experiment with different sounds and genres. They collaborated with internationally recognized producers, including Jon Bellion, Lindgren, and Rogét Chahayed.
The pre-released single “I Do,” highlights a fresh sound distinct from (G)I-DLE’s previous Korean releases. This is their second release in recent months after dropping their 6th mini-album, “I Feel” in May.
Since their debut in 2018, Shuhua, Yuqi, Soyeon, Minnie, and Miyeon have earned a reputation for their unique concepts and creative music. Despite being under the smaller label CUBE Entertainment, (G)I-DLE has achieved global success with songs like Queencard, Tomboy, and Senorita.
More recently, the 5-member group opened their world tour, I am Free-TY, and wrapped Asian and North American legs. Next month, they will tour Europe with upcoming shows in London (September 9), Amsterdam (September 11), Paris (September 13), Brussels (September 16), and Berlin (September 18-19).
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE will now release the album, HEAT, on October 6 instead of the originally scheduled date, September 8.
