If you have been craving a workplace rom-com, Filing for Love might be exactly what you have been waiting for. The drama pairs today on tvN and stars Shin Hye Sun and Gong Myung.
This is a workplace romantic comedy set inside the audit department of a major corporation. Not glamorous on the surface, sure. However, it turns out to be a genuinely clever setup for the kind of push-and-pull romance that K-dramas do so well.
Here is what you need to know ahead of Filing for Love premiere.
‘Filing for Love’ Release Date
Filing for Love starring Gong Myung and Shin Hye Sun premieres on April 25, 2026, on tvN in South Korea. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM KST and runs for 12 episodes. The drama replaces thriller black comedy, Mad Concrete Dreams, in the weekend slot. Global viewers will stream it on HBO Max, TVING, Viki, and Wavve.
Principal photography wrapped in February 2026 after beginning in September 2025. Filming did hit a brief delay when lead actor Gong Myung was hospitalized in late December 2025 due to sudden hearing loss, but he recovered and resumed shooting in January.
Plot Overview
Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myung) is the golden boy of Haemu Group’s audit department. He is confident, capable, and cruising toward an impressive career, until a sudden demotion blindsides him. He lands in the team that handles internal misconduct, a professional dead-end that nobody wants.
His new boss? Joo In Ah (Shin Hye Sun) is the youngest executive in company history and head of the audit office. She is tough, eccentric, and a little terrifying if you cross her. Employees aren’t sure whether to respect her or avoid her. Most do both.
Joo In Ah is also carrying a secret that nobody at work knows about, and she’s working hard to make sure it stays that way. The literal Korean title “Secret Audit” gives you a better sense of the tone.
Cast and characters
- Shin Hye Sun plays In Ah, the youngest-ever audit chief who has built a reputation as someone you don’t want to be on the wrong side of. She has played challenging characters in Dear Hyeri, Mr. Queen, and See You in My 19th Life. Her recent thriller, The Art of Sarah, was released in February exclusively on Netflix.
- Gong Myung shines as the charming but frustrated auditor. Fans know him from the ensemble comedy Be Melodramatic and the box-office smash Extreme Job. He also appeared in the historical epic Hansan: Rising Dragon and the recent rom-com Second Shot at Love.
- Kim Jae Wook plays Jae Yeol, the third-generation heir to the Haemu Group conglomerate. His acting credits include My Coffee Prince, Her Private Life, and The Guest.
- Hong Hwa Yeon plays Jeon Jae Yeol’s secretary and the unofficial “goddess” of Haemu Group. Hong rose to fame after appearing as the female lead in Buried Hearts. She has also appeared in Tastefully Yours, The Price of Confession, and I Am a Running Mate.
Supporting Cast and Cameos
- Oh Dae Hwan appears as the laid-back manager who gave up on ambition long ago.

The special cameo lineup includes:
- Lee Jung Eun and Park Ha Sun appear in roles at the center of unexpected incidents

Production Team
Filing for Love is directed by Lee So Hyun, who previously helmed My Dearest Nemesis, Delightfully Deceitful, and The Witch’s Diner.
The script comes from Yeo Eun-ho, who co-wrote the wildly popular Crash Course in Romance.
Filing For Love Trailer
In the promotional footage, Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myung) receives his demotion news directly from Joo In Ah (Shin Hye Sun). The teaser shows him scrambling to keep up as she pulls him into one uncomfortable audit situation after another. It seems lighter and funnier than you might expect from a story that technically revolves around internal corporate audits.
Scenes hint at the transition from professional hostility to something warmer. Two people who start as a worst-case match end up in close proximity.

Filing For Love premieres April 25, 2026, on tvN and streams internationally on Viki and HBO Max.
