Despite her own struggles with depression and harassment, Hara helped investigate the ‘Burning Sun’ scandal. She played a crucial role in exposing the truth, and the intricate web of connections.

The recent BBC documentary on ‘Burning Sun’ shines a light on Goo Hara’s crucial involvement in bringing to light the actions of Choi Joong Hoon, Jung Joon Young, Ex-YG director Heo, Seungri, Kwon, and Burning Sun MD Kim.

In the recent documentary, the entertainment journalist Kang Kyung Yoon revealed it was an ‘Unsolvable’ case, then, Hara approached her, offering to help with the investigation.

Hara and one of the criminals of the scandal Choi Jong Hoon were close friends since their debut, and she also knew Seungri and Jung Joon Young.

Hara told the reporter that since she was friends with them, she’d seen their mobile phones, ‘They’ve got some really weird things on them.”

Then, she asked Kang Kyung Yoon how she could help her, and helped her contact the police officer, resulting in a big break in the case.

The reporter called her a ‘brave woman’ and Hara told her she was a victim of revenge porn as well.

Goo Hara was a victim of illegal filming, and she reported her boyfriend for threatening to share her private photos.

Fans are lauding and thanking her for helping the victims of the Burning Sun scandal despite dealing with private battles.

Goo Hara committed suicide at the age of 28 in November 2019.
