Han So Hee, the talented South Korean actress, has been keeping a secret about her age. For years, her birth year was listed as 1994 on all platforms, but she was actually born in 1993.
On October 31, 9Ato Entertainment, her agency, addressed the confusion surrounding her age.
Contrary to her Wikipedia profile and other online sources listing her birth date as November 18, 1994, a leaked resident document confirms her actual birthdate as November 18, 1993, and her real name as Lee So Hee.
9Ato Entertainment revealed that the “Gyeongseong Creature” actress adopted 1994 as her public birth year due to her mother’s legal issues.
Han So Hee revealed to TenAsia, ‘During my 4th-grade year, I was forced to move to Ulsan due to my mother’s arrest warrant. I spent a year at home without attending school, and after my mother was imprisoned, I returned to Wonju and re-enrolled as a 4th-grader.’
She explained that from elementary school 4th grade onward, she was in the same grade as those born in 1994, and this continued until her debut.
Her mother got into legal trouble last month once again for illicit gambling activities. She was arrested on September 3 for running these operations across 12 PC bangs in Wonju, Gangwon-do, from December 2022 to August, for nearly 2 years.
On the work front, the second season of her drama “Gyeongseong Creature” with Park Seo Joon was dropped on September 27. In addition, she made her screen debut with the movie “Heavy Snow,” released on October 23. Han So Hee is currently filming her next project “Project Y” with fellow actress and close friend Jeon Jong Seo.
