BLACKPINK’s Lisa reportedly outearned Travis Scott at Coachella 2025!
The 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is set to wrap up another successful two-weekend run (April 11-13 and April 18-20),
This year’s lineup brought massive star power, including Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Jennie, Lisa, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Benson Boone, and more.
It has been revealed that Lisa allegedly secured a paycheck even bigger than headliner Travis Scott. While official numbers have not been confirmed, a source, Hip-Hop Hype Hub, revealed that the BLACKPINK star was the second-highest-paid performer at Coachella.
According to Hype Hub, Lisa was paid $7 million for her groundbreaking performance as a solo artist. She surpassed Travis Scott, who earned $4 million for his performance. Lady Gaga was the highest-paid performer, and $8 million for her performance.
Some fans are skeptical about Lisa’s higher pay than Travis, while others believe it’s justified due to her influence in the US and Asia.
“Funny because originally, people were saying that Lisa paid Coachella to perform there”, one fan wrote. Others commented “People here hating Lisa for no reason, she ate”, “Lisa is the best show girl”, and “Who listens to Travis Scott now”.
Others have mixed reactions and refuse to believe that she was paid higher than Travis Scott.
“French boyfriend helping her”
“Her performance looks so cheap”
“Why is Lisa higher paid than Jennie”
“Lady Gaga deserves more”
“Lisa overrated, overpriced, overhyped”
In the past months, Lisa has performed on many global stages as a soloist and made a name for herself in the Western music market. She performed at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Oscars 2025, MTV VMA’s, Global Citizen Festival, and more.
While she took over major music festivals, her singing skills received massive backlash. The 28-year-old K-pop star was accused of lip-syncing and having no vocal talent. Even her first Coachella performance on April 11 was heavily criticized for relying too much on heavy backtrack and lip sync.
Despite the backlash, she was one of the most mentioned artists during Coachella 2025 weeks 1 & 2. “LISACHELLA” dominated worldwide trends on X and other social media platforms. The BLACKPINK member performed for the second time at Coachella 2025 on April 18 (local time). Previously, she performed at the Sahara stage at Coachella in 2019 and 2023.
In related news, BLACKPINK will reportedly resume activities with a June comeback. They have been coordinating schedules for comeback preparations, and a massive world tour has already been announced.
