It is most certainly not a good day for the fans of Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon as their new fantasy drama has hit a roadblock.
The drama “Human From Today” began filming in 2024, and its first teaser was released in December of the same year. Fans were looking forward to seeing Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon in “Human From Today” when it was announced that the drama would premiere in 2025.
On April 10, JoyNews exclusively reported that “Human From Today” has been pushed back to 2026, contrary to initial reports of a 2025 release. This romantic comedy series, starring Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, follows the story of a nine-tailed fox who transforms into a human after an accident with a renowned soccer star.
SBS confirmed that the drama’s release has been postponed to next year, however, they did not reveal the exact broadcast schedule.
“Human From Today” is a romantic comedy about a gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) who doesn’t want to become human and a soccer star whose life changes unexpectedly. The show is directed by Kim Jung Kwon, known for his work on “Maestra” and “Love to Hate You”, and written by Park Chan Young and Jo Ah Young, who wrote “Best Chicken”.
Kim Hye-yoon stars as Eun Ho, a free-spirited gumiho who has no interest in becoming human. This wealthy and youthful fox enjoys the perks of the human world without any intention of giving up her immortal life. Eun Ho lives life on her own terms, accumulating “vices” and avoiding “virtues” in case she ever becomes human. However, her carefree existence is disrupted by an unexpected incident that throws her fox life into chaos.
Kim Hye Yoon has established herself as a talented actress with her roles in “Lovely Runner”, “Extraordinary You”, and more.
Lomon portrays Kang Si Yeol, a charismatic and accomplished soccer player who’s used to being in the spotlight. As a star striker for a top overseas team, he has garnered a reputation for his skills on the field. Despite his confident exterior, he has a quirky side, including a fear of losing muscle mass. When Eun Ho, a nine-tailed fox, enters his life, everything changes.
Lomon is an emerging Kdrama actor with notable acting credits include “Branding in Seongsu”, “Family Matters”, “All of Us Are Dead 2”, and more.
Meanwhile, “Human From Today” has wrapped up filming and is set to air on SBS TV in 2026 after post-production is complete.
