On Fenruary 1, Billboard dropped the 2024 Billboard Power 100 list on their official website They handpicked the movers and shakers who have had a major impact on the global music scene.
Bang Si-hyuk, the Chairman of HYBE, snagged the 18th spot in the Leaderboard category on the Billboard Power 100 list. This is his fourth time making the list, with previous appearances in 2020, 2022, 2023, and now this year. In the ‘multi-sector’ category, he secured an impressive second place.
Scooter Braun, the CEO of HYBE America, also made it onto the list. This marks his 10th selection. It’s clear that HYBE has played a significant role in establishing itself in the global music market.
Jang Yoon-joong, the co-CEO nominee of Kakao Entertainment, grabbed the 17th spot in the ‘multi-sector’ category. He’s been focusing on promoting the music business, especially in North America.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift, Universal Music Group (UMG) CEO Lucian Grange, and Sony Music Group Chairman Rob Stringer were also chosen in 15 different categories.
