HYBE’s scandalous internal report about K-pop idols has stirred a major controversy.
An 18,000-page long document evaluating idols has revealed criticism of other artists and negative media play against them.
Even the agency’s flagship group, BTS, was not saved and many disturbing practices have come to light. A new part of the report discusses the Jennie-V rumored relationship and Jungkook-IU ship.
The lengthy idol assessment document was submitted to the National Assembly on October 24 as part of an internal audit report. After the shocking revelations and mockery of other idols, it will be submitted to NA to investigate workplace bullying and harassment.
Previously viral snippets of internal reports revealed HYBE being aware of the hate campaigns against Jungkook on DC Gallery. The company also subscribed to VIP membership of infamous YouTuber Sojang, who released defamatory content against Jungkook and V.
In addition, HYBE did not restock V’s debut album “Layover” quickly enough, which resulted in 800K canceled sales.
The new snippet discusses when Jungkook, who is a fan of IU, went to see his concert. “[Company’s group] member OO [Jungkook] attended another agency’s singer’s [IU] concert, and this time, OO went very openly, so the trolls were surprisingly quiet.”
Additionally, “[V]’s dating rumors actually give the other members more freedom in their personal lives, don’t they? If they’re really dating, there’s no reason for delusional ships to spread.”
V and Jennie were rumored to be dating and were allegedly spotted on a date in Paris last year. Prior to his military enlistment in December 2023, it was reported by Kmedia outlets that they had broken up.
