After nearly a decade, beloved K-pop project group I.O.I is finally reuniting on stage.
On March 12, the group announced a special tour titled “2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut.
Besides that, they dropped the long-awaited comeback scheduled for May 2026. The tour marks the first time the members will perform together in about nine years. Their last full-group stage took place in 2017 during the farewell concert Time Slip – I.O.I. This reunion is particularly meaningful for fans who have waited for nearly a decade.

The anniversary tour will begin in Seoul before continuing to other major cities in Asia.

What “LOOP” Means
The concert title “LOOP” carries a symbolic message. It represents connection and continuity, suggesting that a story once thought to be finished is starting again. For the members and their fans, the title reflects a reunion after many years and the beginning of a new chapter together.
The tour poster released alongside the announcement features I.O.I’s signature pink color palette. The emotional design reminded fans of the group’s original debut era.
Nine I.O.I Members Will Participate
For the anniversary project, I.O.I will promote as a nine-member group. The confirmed members are:
- Im Nayoung
- Chungha
- Kim Sejeong
- Jung Chaeyeon
- Kim Sohye
- Yoo Yeonjung
- Choi Yoojung
- Kim Doyeon
- Jeon Somi
Two original members will not be able to participate due to scheduling conflicts: Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong (also known as Kyulkyung). Both members reportedly had prior commitments that could not be adjusted for the reunion schedule.
Comeback Album Arriving in May
In addition to the concert tour, I.O.I is preparing a full comeback in May 2026. This will be the group’s first new music since their disbandment in 2017.
Although details about the album have not yet been revealed, the members have already been spotted recording together. The timing suggests that the new songs could be performed live during the Seoul concerts at the end of May.
A Look Back at I.O.I’s Journey
I.O.I was formed in 2016 through the hit survival program Produce 101. The show brought together 101 trainees from different entertainment agencies. Viewers voted to create the final lineup.
The group debuted in May 2016 and quickly rose to popularity with several hit songs, including Dream Girls, Whatta Man, and Very Very Very. Their emotional farewell track, Downpour, was released shortly before the group ended its activities.
Because I.O.I was originally created as a temporary “project group,” their promotions ended in January 2017 after less than a year together. Since then, the members have built individual careers in music, acting, and variety shows.
