More recently, fans expressed frustration as the tickets for her fanmeeting “Welcome to Hyeri’s Studio” were sold out by Chinese bots. They were enraged that all 1400 seats for Seoul shows were sold out as soon as they went live.

It was speculated that Chinese hackers hacked into the system and purchased all the tickets before the tickets were available for public sale. The tickets went on sale on April 14 at 8 PM KST.

On April 16, Hyeri personally addressed the issue via the fan messaging app, Bubble, and urged fans to not purchase tickets through illegal sellers. She explained the situation through a series of messages, saying

“This is my first time experiencing this, so I’m very confused and surprised“

“At first, I was happy because they said it sold out in one minute”

“Looking at the situation, it seems that there are many people reserve tickets through illegal channels and then resell them”

“I am so upset and sorry”

“You really shouldn’t buy tickets from them (scalpers)”

“Please promise me!”

“If you got a ticket like that, I’d be really upset”

“If the person who made reservation and the person who came into the fan meeting a different, you can’t enter anyway”

“It’s so sad if you come right in front of the fan meeting and don’t come in”

“I think they’re going to check strictly…!”

“And there will be another announcement regarding it, but I think they are canceling the suspicious seats”

On April 15, Sublime Artist Agency announced its position, stating, “The responsibility for any damages caused by direct transactions between individuals lies solely with the parties involved. The concert organizer, co-organizer, and ticketing agency bear no responsibility whatsoever. Illegal ticket transactions will be canceled without prior notice at the discretion of the organizer. Illegal ticket transactions are being continuously monitored by the organizer, and reports can be submitted through the official email.”

Meanwhile, Hyeri will kick off her first fanmeeting tour “Welcome to Hyeri’s Studio” in Seoul on June 7. Following fanmeeting event in Seoul, she will tour Osaka on June 12, Tokyo on June 14, Macau on June 22, Taipei on July 5, and Hong Kong on July 19.
