Nearly a month after their successful debut, the ILLIT fandom name was announced.
On April 21, ILLIT went live on Weverse and surprised fans by revealing the name of their fandom, LILLY.
During their livestream, they shared the reason for naming their fandom LILLY, saying “Our name is inspired by the flower Lily, which is spelled with 1 L,” and added, but since ILLIT is spelled with 2Ls, the girl adds another one to form our fandom name, LILLY.”
Previously, they were using YOULLIT temporarily for their fandom. In addition, the group’s leader has not been decided yet, so an announcement regarding that may be made in the coming days.
ILLIT is smashing records at lightning speed compared to other K-pop groups and reaching new heights of popularity.
Recently, they became the first 5th-gen group to achieve a music show grand slam with their debut song, Magnetic.
Not to mention, they became the fastest K-pop group to debut on Billboard Hot 100, and their debut album, SUPER REAL ME, achieved the second-highest debut album sales by a girl group in the first week.
