Wonhee, a member of the K-pop group ILLIT, has pulled out of a scheduled performance at the Hannam University Festival due to physical exhaustion.
After her high-energy performance at Korea University, fans were eagerly anticipating another electrifying show from the 16-year-old idol at the Hannam University Festival.
On May 22, BELIFT LAB announced that she is unable to attend the festival due to physical fatigue. The agency gave an update on her health, stating, “Wonhee received medical treatment this morning due to physical fatigue.”
They further stated, “As a result, she will not be able to attend the festival at Hannam University today, May 23, as advised by medical professionals.”
The label said that they prioritize the health of their artists, therefore adjusted her schedules accordingly.
Netizens believe that Wonhee is experiencing mental strain due to the criticism and negativity aimed at the group amidst the HYBE-ADOR conflict.
She was spotted deleting and reporting hate comments during the group’s live session, but some netizens believed it was staged to gain sympathy.
Lastly, Wonhee will hopefully be joining the group for upcoming schedules after getting ample rest.
