Actor Moon Seong Hyun and ZEROBASEONE’s Han Yujin will soon step down from their roles as MCs of SBS’s long-running music program Inkigayo. Their final broadcast is scheduled for September 14, 2025, ending a 1-year and 5 month run.
Moon Seong Hyun and Han Yujin joined Inkigayo on April 21, 2024, alongside IVE’s Leeseo, who will continue as an MC. Together, the three formed the so-called “Yuriseong” trio, a nickname made from the combination of their names. With their youthful charm and chemistry, they quickly became one of the youngest and most popular MC teams in the show’s history. They took over hosting duties from TXT’s Yeonjun, Park Ji Hu, and Woonhak of BOYNEXTDOOR in April last year.
Producer Choi Jang Won praised the trio, noting that they were not only the youngest MCs to lead the show but also among the longest-serving. “Their energy and teamwork brightened every Sunday broadcast,” he said.
Moon Seong Hyun, represented by FNC Entertainment, is already making a name for himself as an actor. He has appeared in popular dramas such as Queen of Tears and Dr. Romantic. Leaving his MC role will allow him to focus more on acting.
Han Yujin, the youngest member of ZEROBASEONE under Yue Hua Entertainment, gained popularity through Mnet’s survival show Boys Planet. As he steps away from Inkigayo, he is expected to concentrate on his group’s busy schedule.
Interestingly, another member of ZEROBASEONE, Sung Hanbin, also recently wrapped up his MC role on Mnet’s M Countdown, where he served from September 2023 until September 4.
Inkigayo, also known as The Music Trend, has aired since 1991 and is considered one of Korea’s most iconic music programs. Over the years, it has been hosted by some of the biggest names in K-pop and acting, including IU, EXO’s Suho and Baekhyun, Kim Yoo Jung, Jackson Wang, and BTS’s Jungkook in a special appearance.
Fans can tune in to see Moon Seong Hyun and Han Yujin’s final broadcast on September 14 at 3:20 PM KST on SBS. With Leeseo staying on, viewers are eager to see who will join her as the next generation of Inkigayo MCs.
