It has been around 6 months since the ILLIT debut, therefore, it is high time fans get a fandom name.

It seems like BELIFT LAB is about to make an announcement soon for the new fanclub name. The label has trademarked ‘GLLIT’ on the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIRPIS).

Fans of the group are speculating that GLLIT will be the new name for ILLIT’s fanclub, but the reaction is mixed. While some fans are excited about the change, many others are expressing disappointment and dissatisfaction with the chosen name.

While the group announced a fandom name LILLY on April 21 via Weverse live, the BELIFT LAB announced a change in the fandom name after receiving negative feedback from other fandoms.

During their announcement livestream, ILLIT revealed the meaning behind their fandom name, LILLY. They explained that the name is inspired by the flower ‘Lily’, which has one ‘L’. However, since ‘ILLIT’ has two ‘L’s, they added an extra ‘L’ to create the unique fandom name ‘LILLY’.

BELIFT LAB faced criticism for naming their fandom ‘LILLY’, which is too similar to BLACKPINK Lisa’s fandom ‘Lilies’ and NMIXX member Lily.

The agency decided to review the decision and announce a new fandom name at a later date. It has been months since the new announcement, no new fandom name has been revealed yet.

On the work front, ILLIT, who shook the K-pop scene with their hit song Magnetic, will be making a fall comeback.
