July 8 was an eventful day for MIDZYs, not only was it their 5th birthday, but ITZY’s beloved member Lia made a long-awaited appearance for this special occasion.
ITZY members gathered to celebrate the fandom’s 5th anniversary, including Lia, who has not participated in any group activities for around 10 months.
The 23-year-old idol appeared healthy and overjoyed, being part of celebrations with group members and fans.
While she joined the group for livestream, it was not announced if she’d officially resumed activities.
Shortly after, JYP Entertainment released an official statement, giving an update on her health status and resumption of activities.
The agency shared, “Lia’s symptoms of tension and anxiety have improved significantly through treatment and rest.”
They further revealed, “After careful discussion with Lia, she has decided to return to activities with the new album, which is scheduled to release in the second half of this year.”
JYP Entertainment clarified that she will not participate in scheduled activities prior to the album release. Till then, all the event and scheduled activities will be carried out by four members, Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna.
