Ju Ji Hoon and Ha Ji Won are set to star in the upcoming drama Climax, scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2026 on Genie TV and air as an ENA Monday-Tuesday series. It is an intense survival story that delves into the darker sides of society.
Ju Ji Hoon will play Bang Tae Seop, a star prosecutor who rises quickly in society by marrying a top actress and entering the ranks of a powerful cartel. Ha Ji Won takes on the role of Chu Sang Ah, Tae Seop’s wife, who was once a celebrated actress but is now seen as washed-up after her marriage.
Ha Ji Won returns to television after a four-year hiatus since Curtain Call in 2022, and Ju Ji Hoon portrays a morally complex lead. This will be their first collaboration on-screen.
Ju received praise for his role in Netflix’s medical series, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and Light Shop. He is now set to appear in the second season of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and The Remarried Empress. Ha Ji Won is known for her outstanding performances in Empress Ki, The Huntresses, and Secret Garden.
Nana joins the cast as Hwang Jung Won, a secret informant working alongside Tae Seop. She holds critical knowledge that could expose the cartel’s secrets. Nana has played memorable roles in Mask Girl, My Man is Cupid, Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, and more.
Cha Joo Young plays Lee Yang Mi, the second wife of the chairman of WR Group, the country’s third-largest conglomerate. Oh Jung Se takes on Kwon Jong-wook, the chairman’s eldest son, competing with Lee Yang Mi to become the next successor.
Climax is produced by Hive Media Corp, known for delivering high-quality and commercially successful projects such as 12.12: The Day, Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, and more. The series is directed by Lee Ji Won, who won the Best New Director Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her film Miss Baek. This project marks her first drama directing role.
Climax will premiere on Genie TV sometime in 2026.
