Jungkook, newly discharged from his military service, is already making headlines. This time, for a meaningful reason. The BTS member is booked and busy, and was recently spotted in New York and Vietnam to finish filming for the travel variety show, Are You Sure?! with bandmate Jimin.
On June 28, he returned to Korea after filming again. On Monday (July 7), Jungkook, Jimin, and Suga flew to the United States from Incheon International Airport to work on the upcoming BTS album. He was dressed in all-black with his face covered with a mask and a Calvin Klein cap.
Fans noticed that at a recent airport appearance, Jungkook had one nail painted blue. It was a subtle nod to the Polished Man campaign, which raises awareness about ending violence against women and children.
This global initiative, which originated in Australia, asks men to paint a single nail blue (or any color of their choice), symbolizing the shocking statistic that one in five children under 18 experiences violence or abuse. By wearing the polish, men help spread awareness and drive donations to support prevention and recovery programs for affected children.
The artist’s choice didn’t go unnoticed, especially since the nail color matched the lettering on his Calvin Klein hat. It sparked talks that Jungkook may have shot a campaign with Calvin Klein to raise awareness.
The “Standing Next To You” singer always wins hearts with his philanthropic acts. Earlier this year, Jungkook donated 1 billion won to support wildfire relief efforts, the largest individual contribution.
Jungkook has resumed solo activities and is reportedly working on his sophomore album in the US. The 28-year-old singer is rumored to go on a solo tour in October, however, nothing has been officially confirmed by HYBE.
All BTS members have finished military service, and recently held a Weverse live to share their comeback plans. They will begin preparations for a group comeback this month and return in Spring 2026, after almost 4 years.
Meanwhile, Jungkook released his hugely successful solo album, GOLDEN, in November 2023, a month before his military enlistment in December of the same year. The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart and three songs (“Standing Next To You,” “3D,”, and “Seven”) charted on Billboard HOT 100. He will gear up to release his second album this year. Considering how long ARMYs have been waiting, the album will surely receive an overwhelming response.
