Park Sung Hoon’s latest Instagram post has landed him in hot water.
The “Queen of Tears” actor shared an inappropriate parody of “Squid Game 2”, which has outraged fans. They are now calling for him to be replaced in the upcoming drama “The Tyrant’s Chef.” The drama also stars Girls’ Generation member and popular actress YoonA.
YoonA’s fans are especially vocal about the issue, and many are now calling on the show’s producers to rethink Park Sung Hoon’s casting.
The 39-year-old actor shared an explicit parody of “Squid Game 2” on Instagram and quickly deleted it. His agency BH Entertainment addressed the growing backlash and explained the reason behind the controversial upload.
According to the agency, the post was accidentally shared when the Kdrama actor was reading his DMs. Despite the clarification from the agency, Korean netizens continue to criticize him and call for his removal from the cast lineup of his upcoming project “The Tyrant’s Chef.”
“The Tyrant’s Chef” revolves around a skilled chef (YoonA) who, at the height of her success, is suddenly transported back in time. There, she encounters a ruthless king (Park Sung Hoon) with a reputation for cruelty but is passionate about fine cuisine.
Earlier this year, he appeared in the role of an antagonist in tvN’s highest-rated drama of all time “Queen of Tears”. Park wrapped the year with a bang with his appearance in “Squid Game” season 2, portraying the role of a transgender woman.
However, sharing adult content related to “Squid Game” has landed him in hot waters and it seems Korean netizens are not ready to forgive him.
