Kang Daniel will give fans a special treat ahead of his military enlistment.
The former Wanna One member will pause his entertainment activities for a while to fulfill his national defense duties.
Kang Daniel is gearing up for a comeback this April, according to an exclusive report by Daily Sports on March 26. This will be his first release since his fifth mini-album ‘Act’ dropped last September, about 7 months ago. As his previous album received an overwhelming response, fans are looking forward to what’s next from the talented artist.
As per sources, he is in the final stages of preparations and will make an announcement soon. Following the release of new music in April, he will embark on a European tour. The tour kicks off in London on May 7 and will also visit Paris (May 9), Hamburg (May 11), and Warsaw (May 13).
This European leg is part of his ongoing world tour “ACT”, which began in Seoul and has already stopped in Tokyo, Osaka, and Taipei. His agency ARA confirmed that the tour will expand to more regions following the European tour.
Fans are super excited about his comeback because his last album, “Act”, showed off his amazing musical skills. Released to celebrate his 7th year as an artist, “Act” tells a story using the theme of “play” with six songs that flow smoothly together.
What makes it extra special is that Kang Daniel helped write the lyrics for every single song. He also worked closely with top composers to produce an album that highlights his unique voice.
Kang Daniel first gained recognition through the 2017 reality competition show “Produce 101.” He finished as the show’s runner-up and debuted as a member of the project group Wanna One.
Wanna One released several successful singles before disbanding in 2019. The 28-year-old singer then launched his solo career, releasing his debut EP “Color on Me” in 2019.
He has since released multiple successful albums and singles, including “Touchin'” and “Waves.” In 2020, Kang Daniel established his own agency, Konnect Entertainment. The agency was shut down last year after a conflict with the majority shareholder.
He has continued to release new music and perform at various concerts and events. The K-pop star also ventured into acting with the 2022 Kdrama “Rookie Cops”.
Meanwhile, many exciting K-pop comebacks from notable artists, including NCT WISH, TWS, EXO’s Kai, BIGBANG’s Daesung, Kwon Eunbi, and &TEAM, are scheduled for next month.
