Kep1er is preparing for their first comeback following a major lineup change. The global girl group will release their 8th mini album, CRACK CODE, their first project as a reorganized six-member group.
On March 9 at midnight, WakeOne dropped the first teaser for their upcoming release, CRACK CODE, on social media platforms. Kep1er’s CRACK CODE on Tuesday, March 31 at 6PM KST.
This comeback comes shortly after the departure of member Seo Youngeun. On March 6, 2026, WAKEONE and KLAP Entertainment confirmed that Youngeun had officially ended her activities with the group.
She had been on hiatus since July last year due to health concerns and missed Kep1er’s August 2025 comeback. After months of discussion about her future, the decision was made for her to leave the group. Youngeun is the third member to leave the group, following Mashiro and Yeseo, who left in July 2024.
Kep1er’s most recent Korean release was their 7th mini album, Bubble Gum, which came out in August, 2025, when the group was still promoting as seven members. However, Youngeun did not contribute to or promote the comeback. The album sold over 142K copies in the first week.
Before that, they released their first full-length Japanese EP, Against the World, on April 30, 2025, which sold around 55,881 copies in its first week. Last year, Kep1er toured limited Asian cities as part of their Asia tour, Into the Orbit: Kep1asia. The tour ran from September to December 2025 and included stops in Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukuoka.
Fans are already guessing the concept of CRACK CODE, which suggests themes of decoding, mystery, or breaking barriers.
Kep1er’s 8th mini album, CRACK CODE, will be released globally on Tuesday, March 31.
