Kep1er member Xiaoting has officially begun exploring her future endeavors, following the expiration of her exclusive contract with her Chinese agency, TOPCLASS.
According to an exclusive report by OSEN on January 7, the Chinese K-pop star has returned to Korea and is currently in talks with Kep1er’s management agencies WakeOne and KLAP Entertainment.
If the negotiations are successful, Xiaoting will pursue her activities outside of Kep1er under WakeOne and KLAP Entertainment.
The 25-year-old idol gained fame on Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999” and debuted with Kep1er, a project group initially set for a 2.5-year run. Notably, Kep1er made history by renewing their contracts last November, the first project group to do so.
Previously, Xiaoting sat out Kep1er’s December schedule to focus on solo activities in China. At the time, her Chinese and Korean agencies gave conflicting statements regarding her absence from an important fansign event.
Although she was disappointed to miss out on group activities, her contract with TOPCLASS Entertainment in China expired on January 1.
The expiration of Xiaoting’s contract with her Chinese agency has left fans wondering what’s next for the K-pop star. Interestingly, she had already been sitting out recent Kep1er activities. Now, it has been confirmed that she is back in Korea and in talks about rejoining Kep1er’s activities.
