Her portrayal of ‘Im Sol’ in Lovely Runner has garnered praise from viewers and critics alike.

Recently, the 27-year-old actress shot a pictorial for Cosmopolitan Korea in Bali. In an interview, she talked about her impression of Im Sol, her passion for acting, and the Lovely Runner ending.

Kim Hye Yoon on Playing ‘Im Sol’

Kim Hye Yoon shared her feelings about playing Im Sol, stating, “I have met various teenage characters through various works, but this was the first time I had a character like Im Sol who was in her 30s on the inside but looked like a teenager on the outside.”

The Extraordinary You actress shared that she made an effort to act more cautiously by incorporating speech patterns less common among teenagers. This was to bring out the mature aspects of a person in their 30s as authentically as possible.

‘Lovely Runner’ Ending

Kim Hye Yoon was satisfied with how Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol’s story wrapped up. She revealed that she would have been upset if the show did not end like that, stating, “If the ending was that Sun Jae never remembers Im Sol, Im Sol would probably be spending her days crying a lot more than what you saw on her show. I’m so glad it’s ending the way it is now.”

Improving Her Craft

Despite being in the industry for over 10 years, she has not become complacent, she constantly tries to improve her craft. 

Kim Hye Yoon revealed being strict with herself and trying her best in everything she does. While she hasn’t reached a point of complete satisfaction yet, she anticipates a time when she can acknowledge her progress.

Outside of acting, she tends to be more laid-back, contrasting with her focused and meticulous approach to her craft. She finds joy in the challenge of refining her acting skills and aims to excel in her performances.

On the work front, she is in talks to join the cast of The Year She Turned 29.
