Kim Hyun Jin and Han Seung Yeon, formerly managing activities under YG Entertainment, have found a new agency.
In January, YG announced that they are shutting down their acting division to focus on the core music business. Since their acting management services have been discontinued, dozens of actors under YG Entertainment are looking for new agencies.
Some artists, whose exclusive contracts expired, have already signed with new agencies.
On April 16, Kim Hyun Jin and Han Seung Yeon signed exclusive contracts with AER Entertainment, a newly launched management company founded by Lim Dong Gyu, a former YG Entertainment executive.
AER Entertainment is a subsidiary label of Story J Company, and its name means “air” in Portuguese. Story J manages notable Kdrama artists such as Kang Mi Na, Kwon Soo Hyun, Kim Tae Hee, Seo In Guk, Huh Joon Ho, Kim Sung Cheol, and more.
Han Seung Yeon debuted with KARA in 2007 and has since explored various fields, including music, acting, and entertainment. She is known for her bright and positive image as a ‘multi-tainer’ and has gained recognition for her roles in dramas like “Age of Youth”, “Twelve Nights”, “Youth Again”, and more.
Kim Hyun Jin has been steadily building his career as an actress since debuting as a model in 2016. He gained recognition for her roles in dramas like “Crushology 101,” “Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale,” and “Cheer Up.”
Meanwhile, Story J Company will support AER Entertainment and its signed artists Kim Hyun Jin and Han Seung Yeon.
