It appears to be an intense period for K-pop fans as a string of idols are enlisting in the military one after another.
More recently, Kim Jae Hwan, a former member of Wanna One, is the next one to announce military enlistment, scheduled to begin mandatory military service on July 1.
On May 31, Wake One announced that he had been officially accepted into the Army Military Band, having received confirmation from the Military Manpower Administration following his application.
The 28-year-old idol intends to stay in touch with fans via his agency even after finishing his military duty. Before enlisting, he renewed his contract with Wake One Entertainment.
The agency announced that they have successfully renewed their contract with artist Kim Jae Hwan, built on a foundation of long-standing trust and confidence. They pledged to continue supporting him in diverse musical endeavors in various capacities, ensuring a bright future for his artistic career.
Notably, this contract renewal marks the first-ever extension for an idol produced by Mnet.
On the work front, he held a fan concert ‘WIND TALE’ in April and released his 7th mini album I Adore on May 8.
