Actress Kim Ji Yeon (aka Bona of WJSN) will reportedly play the female lead in the upcoming drama “Dive Into You.”

As reported by iMBC Entertainment on March 11, the idol-actress has been cast in the new drama produced by Dexter Pictures. The series is a fantasy romantic comedy.

The story follows Yoon Ha Na, a top actress played by Kim Ji Yeon. She is a popular star loved by the public. However, after an unexpected incident, she travels back in time. In the past, she tried to stop the death of her first love, Park Yoon Jae (Park Seo Ham). During this time-travel journey, she experiences events while inside the body of her twin brother.

Actor Park Seo Ham will play the male lead, Park Yoon Jae, whom iMBC Entertainment had previously reported his casting. Park Yoon Jae is Yoon Ha Na’s childhood friend and also works as her bodyguard. He has strong physical abilities and calm judgment. Despite his tough image, he is known as a pure-hearted person who has stayed by Yoon’s side since they were young.

“Dive Into You” is a joint Korean-Japanese project, co-produced by Dexter Pictures and Amuse Entertainment.

Kim Ji Yeon first debuted as an idol with WJSN and later expanded her career into acting. She appeared in several dramas, including Pyramid Game, The Haunted Palace, and Your House Helper.

She gained public recognition for her role as national fencing athlete Go Yu Rim in the tvN drama Twenty Five Twenty One. She later took leading roles in The Joseon Lawyer and the Tving series Pyramid Game.

Park Seo Ham also built a strong fan base through acting. He gained major popularity with the 2022 drama Semantic Error. The series helped him gain recognition as a rising male lead. Last year, he appeared in Disney+’s historical thriller, The Murky Stream, with Rowoon and Shin Ye Eun. His recent appearance was in the K-drama Our Universe in a supporting role.

Park previously worked as a model and is known for his tall height and visuals. After the success of “Semantic Error,” he enlisted for mandatory military service on March 10, 2022. “Dive Into You” is expected to be his third major project following his military service.
