On December 30, distributor J&C Media Group announced that the release timeline for the movie Everyday, We. Directed by Kim Min Jae and starring Kim Sae Ron and Lee Chae Min, the movie is set for theatrical release in February 2026.

Everyday, We, is based on the popular webtoon of the same name with more than 16 million cumulative views on Kakao Page. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most beloved youth romance stories on the platform.

The film tells a turbulent coming-of-age love story that begins at age 17. It centers on a childhood friendship that suddenly changes after an unexpected confession, just before the characters enter high school. At a time when everything feels uncertain and chaotic, first love arrives without warning.

Kim Sae Ron plays Han Yeo Wool, a high school student who becomes deeply confused after her longtime friend suddenly confesses his feelings and kisses her. The unexpected confession leads to the end of their innocent friendship.

When they reunite at their high school entrance ceremony and find themselves in the same class, their relationship is already broken. They spend their school days feeling awkward, distant, and unsettled as their feelings grow more complicated.

Lee Chae Min (Crushology 101, Hierarchy, and Bon Appétit, Your Majesty) stars as Oh Ho Su, the childhood friend who experiences first love for the first time. This project is Lee’s first leading role in a film. He previously gained public attention through the tvN drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, where he portrayed king Lee Heon.

The supporting cast includes Choi Yuju (former Cherry Bullet member), who has appeared in the The Escape of the Seven series and Namib. Plus, Ryu Ui Hyun, a former child actor known for the web drama A-Teen is also part of the cast.

A teaser poster was also released on Tuesday. It shows Kim Sae Ron and Lee Chae Min standing close together under a single umbrella in the rain. The tagline reads, “Do first loves really never come true?”

Everyday, We was filmed earlier in Kim Sae Ron’s career and completed before her passing. It is expected to be released first as a feature-length film and later adapted into a seven-episode drama series.

The film’s release carries deep emotional weight for audiences. Kim Sae Ron died by suicide at her home in Seoul on February 16, 2025, at the age of 24. She began acting as a child and built a respected filmography through works such as Nobody Knows and Kiss Sixth Sense.

Her career was interrupted following a drunk driving incident in May 2022. After the incident, she withdrew from projects, and her role in the Netflix series Bloodhounds was significantly reduced. In the following years, she attempted to return to acting through smaller projects and stage work.

Everyday, We is scheduled to be released in February 2026 and will stand as Kim Sae Ron’s final on-screen work.
