Fans were looking forward to hearing from Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim So Hyun about their drama Serendipity’s Embrace but their final interview was canceled. This is disappointing for fans since the drama created a lot of buzz around the actors, even if it didn’t get high ratings.
Chae Jong Hyeop’s agency, YNK Entertainment confirmed the news stating, “Due to the unexpected scheduling of ‘Is It Coincidence?’, the actor’s overseas commitments and the drama’s conclusion coincided. We tried to adjust the schedule as much as possible to conduct an interview, but it was difficult to adjust, so we decided not to conduct it. We appreciate your keen interest in the actor and the work.”
Kim So Hyun will also be skipping interviews due to her busy schedule filming her upcoming project Good Boy.
Serendipity’s Embrace is a romantic drama about two former lovers who reunite after 10 years. Despite its promising premise, the show struggled to attract viewers, with low ratings of around 3.0%. The main reason for its popularity was the fame of its leads, Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim So Hyun, rather than the show itself.
Chae Jong Hyeop’s recent success in Japan with TBS’ Eye Love You and his return to Korean TV was highly anticipated, but the show’s predictable storyline failed to impress audiences.
Despite Serendipity’s Embrace not being a huge success, Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim So Hyun’s immense popularity generated excitement among fans for a press interview. Sadly, they would not be doing any interviews, which is a letdown for fans of Serendipity Embrace.
