Following his initial scandal involving the late Kim Sae Ron, Kim Soo Hyun has faced a barrage of accusations, including claims of framing actress Seo Ye Ji as a bully, forcing the late K-pop idol Sulli into an explicit scene, and now, a series of fresh allegations have emerged.
More traumatic experiences of actresses in Kim Soo Hyun’s movie “Real”, directed by his cousin Lee Sa Rang, have come to light. Now, the 37-year-old actor is accused of exploiting Han Ji Eun and Bae Suzy.
Late Sulli Forced to Do an Explicit Scene with Kim Soo Hyun
Late Sulli’s brother has been seemingly targeting Kim Soo Hyun with cryptic posts since last week. Her brother Choi demands that Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin Lee Sa Rang address allegations surrounding the filming of “Real.”
He revealed that he found out through staff that the explicit scene between Sulli and Kim Soo Hyun was allegedly not in the original script. A body double was reportedly available for her nude scene but was not used. Contrary to initial claims, the body double was on set during filming.
Regarding the claims by the late K-pop star’s brother, his agency Gold Medalist has responded by saying that they are currently verifying the situation.
When promoting the movie, Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin used her nude scene as bait, for which she was under intense media scrutiny. There were many articles in November 2016 revealing that Sulli attempted suicide and was rushed to the ER. Filming for “Real” was completed in June 2016 and her nude scene in the movie became a hot topic. As a result, it is alleged that Sulli slit her wrists and was taken to the hospital immediately.
Only Nude Scenes of Han Ji Eun Were Kept
Han Ji Eun appeared in a supporting role in the movie “Real” and filmed a nude and sex scene with the “Queen of Tears” actor. During her promotional interview for “Rampant” in 2018, her movie released after “Real” (2017), she expressed regret for appearing in the movie.
Han Ji Eun shared, “‘Real’ was also an opportunity I participated in through chance and effort. I heard there was an audition and thought about it. The audition conditions required nudity, which made me hesitate. The only known information was that Kim Soo Hyun was the lead. I trusted the name, Kim Soo Hyun. If I made the choice, there must have been a reason.”
She added, “I got through the 4,300-to-1 audition competition. Once I choose something, I am the type who does not regret it. It wasn’t easy. There was the drug party exposure scene followed by the bed scene. A bed scene with Kim Soo Hyun. I wanted to discuss and share my thoughts, but the situation did not allow for that. I was upset. I tried not to regret it, but for a while, the aftereffects were significant.”
Han Ji passed the audition and decided to be part of the film because she trusted in Kim Soo Hyun, and even filmed a bed scene with him, including a drug party exposure scene. However, in the end, all her scenes except for the nude and bed scenes were cut from the movie. At this point, fans can’t help but think that the purpose was to film the female actress’s nude and bed scenes.
Suzy was Not Comfortable with Role in Her Movie
Suzy and IU were personally cast by Kim Soo Hyun for cameos in the movie “Real”. The idol-turned-actress played the role of a tattooist in the movie.
During an interview for the movie, Kim expressed gratitude to IU and Suzy for agreeing to make a special appearance in the movie. He also shared, “Suzy came six hours before the shoot, got her tattoo makeup done, and came to me saying, ‘ This was something that we haven’t discussed’ I felt a bit sorry about that.”
Suzy underwent an extensive 6-hour makeup process. Additionally, a nude scene was filmed. However, her actual appearance in the movie is limited to just 5 seconds in the nude scene.
A Personal Account of a Woman Who Auditioned For Movie ‘Real’
A Woman who went to audition shared, “At the time, the recruitment notice said, ‘Since you seem to enjoy yourself at the club, please come dressed in club attire.’ From daytime onwards, young actresses were lined up in front of Nonhyeon Intersection, wearing revealing outfits. Inside the club, young women were dancing their best – on tables and hanging from bars – to impress the filmmakers. I remember there were video directors with cameras filming the scene, but did any actress get cast through that audition? I never heard any news about it. Rather than the open audition opportunity, I received calls from movie directors, producers, and even managers late at night, and I ended up changing my phone number and leaving that place.”
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun is embroiled in a controversy for dating Kim Sae Ron from 2015 to 2021. The late actress was only 15 or 16 at the time and he is accused of cheating on her several times, including with two 2nd-gen girl group members. Kim and his agency Kim Sae Ron also forced her to repay 700 million won debt, which his agency vehemently denies.
