The biggest names in K-content are coming together for a night of glamor and recognition!
The 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2024 K-Expo) is happening on August 22 at the Chosun Palace in Seoul, where stars like Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hye Yoon, Go Minsi will be honored for their incredible contributions to the world of K-dramas, films, and music.
Korean entertainment’s biggest stars will be honored at the 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2024 K-Expo). Awards will go to:
- Kim Soo Hyun: Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for Queen of Tears
- Go Minsi: Seoul Mayor’s Award for Sweet Home Season 1-3
- Byun Yo Han: National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee Chairman’s Award for Uncle Samsik
- Kim Hye Yoon: National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee Chairman’s Award for Lovely Runner
- H1-KEY: Seoul City Council Speaker’s Award for their hit songs Rose Blossom and Let it Burn
- Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim Jiyeon (Bona): Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award
- MODHAUS CEO Jung Byeong Gi: Korea Creative Content Agency President’s Award
- Big Ocean (First hearing Impaired group): Hallyu Special Award
The male winner of the Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman’s Award will be announced at the event.
This year’s Newsis Hallyu Expo, themed ‘REACT K-WAVE’, will feature congratulatory performances by H1-KEY, tripleS, and Big Ocean.
Launched in 2019, the Hallyu Expo recognizes and honors individuals and companies that have significantly contributed to the growth and spread of K-culture.
The event is supported by prominent organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Seoul Metropolitan Council, Korea Creative Content Agency, and Seoul Tourism Foundation. It will be livestreamed on the Newsis YouTube channel.
