Lee Je Hoon and Ha Young are reportedly set to team up in a new SBS legal drama. If confirmed, this will be their first project together.
On February 10, Ilgan Sports reported that both actors have confirmed their appearances in the upcoming drama “There’s a Winning Chance” (literal title). The series is part of the SBS lineup this year.
There’s a Winning Chance is a Korean adaptation of the 2018 TV Asahi J-drama Legal V: Former Lawyer Shoko Takanashi. The story centers on a former lawyer who has been stripped of their license and becomes involved in legal cases in an unconventional way. The original drama received a peak rating of 18.1% and starred Ryoko Yonekura and Osamu Mukai.
The drama will be directed by Kwon Da Som, who previously co-directed My Demon and Connection. Jung Jin Young and Kim Eui Chan will jointly write the script, while Studio S and Artist Studio will handle production.
Lee Je Hoon’s appearance has been officially confirmed by his agency, COMPANY ON. Ha Young’s participation has been widely reported, although her agency has not yet released a formal confirmation. In addition, Lee Jae Won, Ok Ja Yeon, and Cho Seong Ha are reportedly in talks to appear in supporting roles.
Lee Je-hoon recently starred in SBS’s Taxi Driver 3, which concluded on January 10. The series received strong viewer support and recorded a peak viewership rating of 14.2 percent during its run. He previously won an SBS Drama Award for his performance in Taxi Driver 2.
Lee has also completed filming for Second Signal, the follow-up season of the hit drama Signal. However, the broadcast has been temporarily postponed due to past issues involving co-star Jo Jin Woong and his subsequent retirement from the entertainment industry. As a result, Second Signal was also excluded from CJ ENM’s recently announced 2026 tvN drama lineup.
Ha Young rose to fame for her passionate performance as Nurse Jang Cheon Mi in the Netflix series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. The medical drama became a global hit last year and is reportedly renewed for two more seasons.
She is currently preparing for the release of another Netflix series, Our Sticky Love, where she stars opposite Jung Hae In. In addition, she is part of two other Netflix dramas in supporting roles, Boyfriend on Demand and Teach You a Lesson.
Meanwhile, There’s a Winning Chance will reportedly air on SBS in 2026.
