Lee Young Ji is super excited about being appointed the youngest MC for ‘The Season’ and has shared her gratitude for this amazing opportunity.
On September 24, a production conference for KBS2’s late-night music show The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow took place at KBS headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
Lee Young Ji has made history as the youngest MC to join KBS2’s music program “The Seasons”. She takes the reins as the show’s sixth host, following in the footsteps of renowned predecessors Jay Park, Choi Jung Hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, and Zico.
Titled “Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow”, it promises colorful collaborations with various musicians.
She shared her thoughts, saying, ‘I am deeply grateful to be hosting a program with such a long history. At just 22 years old, I feel honored to have this opportunity, which I believe will greatly benefit my music and broadcasting career in the future.’
When asked who she wanted to invite, Lee shared her dream guest lineup including PLAVE, Yoo Jae Suk, Cho, Yongpil, and Na Hoon Ah.
She already has plenty of hosting experience and recently returned as MC of No Prepare Season 3.
Young Ji expressed her desire to create a different atmosphere, saying, “In ‘No Prepare’ I focused on a lot of intense tension with a little bit of alcohol and created a lot of chaos, but in ‘The Season,’ I want to do a more organized and conversational music talk show.”
Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow’ on KBS2 is set to premiere on September 27 at 10 PM KST. The rumored guest lineup for the first episode includes Hwasa, Lee Eunji, Kim Yonja, and Chang Ki Ha.
