The 2024 MAMA Awards promises an epic night of K-pop collaborations!
This year’s special stages will feature PLAVE, TXT, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, izna, Yeonjun from TXT, Lee Young Ji, and more.
The ‘2024 MAMA Awards’ Media Day kicked off on October 29 at the CJ ENM Center Talent Studio in Seoul’s Mapo-gu district, led by key officials.
Plus, the 4th lineup of performing artists was revealed today featuring SEVENTEEN, izna, YOUNG POSSE, and Anderson Paak.
MAMA Awards 2024 Collaboration Stages
CP Yoon Shin Hye revealed at the event that the girl group izna, rumored to make a comeback in November, will have their debut stage.
In addition, SEVENTEEN will also perform at the award ceremony, sans Jeonghan and Jun.
No Mirae from the Media Art Creation Team revealed the preparation of the 360-degree surround stage.
She added, “For this year’s MAMA, a collaboration stage between PLAVE and Lee Young Ji has been prepared.”
She also hinted, “Members from ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and ZEROBASEONE will come together to form a single band. Look forward to seeing which members will play which instruments. They will perform a song that travels back in time.”
MAMA Awards 2024 special stages will include TXT Yeonjun’s cutting-edge collaboration with a robot, (G)I-DLE’s grand performance, and three signature stages: Super Stage, Wonder Stage, and Cinematic Stage.
Previously, rumors swirled about a potential Big Bang reunion at ‘MAMA’ 2024, but only G-Dragon was confirmed in the final lineup. However, CP Yoon hinted that plans may still be in motion, stating, “G-Dragon and BIGBANG’s appearances are still under review. We’ll make an official announcement once confirmed.”
The 2024 MAMA Awards will take place on November 21 at the Dolby Theater in LA and November 22-23 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, broadcasting live on Mnet, Mnet K-POP YouTube, and Mnet TV.
The event features performances by aespa, ENHYPEN, TXT, ILLIT, izna, ZEROBASEONE, G-DRAGON, and other notable artists. Presenters include Gong Myung, Park Seo Joon, Ma Dong Seok, Kim Min Ha, Byeon Woo Seok, Jung Hoyeon, and more.
