According to Sports Chosun on December 17, Na In Woo is no longer required to serve in the military, having been exempted after his classification as a social service worker.

The 30-year-old actor has been exempted from military service after a three-year waiting period. He was initially classified as a Grade 4 supplementary service member but didn’t receive a call-up notice from the Military Manpower Administration within the required timeframe.

Under the Military Service Act, Grade 4 supplementary service members who are not called up within three years are exempt. This provision has already exempted over 10,000 individuals since 2019. Another 10,000 received exemption this year, with Na In Woo among them.

His agency Hanada Company has yet to release an official statement on his military service exemption.

On the work front, Na In Woo’s popularity surged after his appearance in tvN’s “Marry My Husband” opposite Park Min Young. His upcoming drama “Motel California” is scheduled to premiere on January 10, 2025, on MBC. This Friday-Saturday drama tells the story of Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), who reunites with her first love, Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo), 12 years after leaving her hometown.
