Gawon has become the first MEOVV member to score an ambassadorship role for a luxury brand.
The South Korean-American singer will now represent Prada as a brand ambassador.
On April 17, Italian luxury brand Prada made the exciting announcement, stating, “We are delighted to announce Gawon, a Korean singer and member of the K-pop group MEOVV, as our brand ambassador.”
Regarding her role, she shared her excitement, saying, “It is a true honor and I am so excited to be joining Prada as an ambassador. I have always deeply admired Prada’s sense of style and philosophy, so I am thrilled to be part of the brand’s journey.”
She will join a long list of Korean ambassadors, including Karina of aespa, Sana of TWICE, Byeon Woo Seok, Jeon Somi, ENHYPEN, and more. Kim Soo Hyun, who was previously a Prada ambassador, was recently removed from his role following a scandal involving his relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron, who was underage at the time.
Gawon began her journey with Prada in February 2025 when she attended the Prada Fall-Winter 2025 Women’s Collection show in Milan. She debuted as a member of THEBLACKLABEL’s girl group MEOVV in September last year. For those unversed, she is a former model and worked with Adidas during her modeling days.
On another note, MEOVV is gearing up to release their first physical album “MY EYES OPEN VVIDE” on May 12 and a pre-release single “Hands Up” on April 28.
