Momo from TWICE generously donated 10 million yen (equivalent to approximately 90 million won) to support the recovery efforts for the earthquake damage in Japan.
On January 31, Warner Music Japan announced that Momo made a charitable donation of 10 million yen to support the recovery efforts for the Noto Peninsula earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Momo expressed her desire for the funds to be used towards earthquake damage recovery and to assist the affected residents.
Momo shared, “I hope that the disaster area will recover as soon as possible.” She added, “I sincerely pray that the affected people can return to their daily lives.”
On the first day of the new year, a big earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 hit the Noto Peninsula in Japan. The damage is expected to be around 23 trillion won.
Sadly, there have been 238 reported deaths so far (as of January 30). around 14,000 residents of Ishikawa Prefecture had to evacuate and seek refuge.
