Moon Sang Min Officially Selected as the 39th MC of Music Bank

Previously there were reports that Moon Sang Min was in talks to replace Lee Chae Min as the MC of Music Bank.

On May 27, KBS announced Moon Sang Min as the official MC of Music Bank. He will be joining LE SSERAFIM’s Hong Eunchae on the music broadcast show, scheduled for Friday, May 31.

Since Lee Chae Min’s departure last month, a rotating lineup of special guest MCs have been stepping in to host the show, including ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao, Jo, Kim Taerae, THE BOYZ’s Hyunjae, and others, who have been filling the role temporarily.

Born in 2000, he started his acting career in 2019 with a debut role in the web drama 4 Reasons Why I Hate Christmas. He has since rapidly landed leading roles in successful projects including Under the Queen’s Umbrella, Duty After School, and Wedding Impossible.

Music Bank is a famous Korean music show that started in 1998. Many stars, like Song Joong Ki, Park Bo Gum, and Park Seo Joon, have hosted the show. 

Now, the Wedding Impossible actor is the new host, and people are excited to see if he can do as well as the previous hosts.

Lastly, Moon Sang Min’s debut as the new host of Music Bank is scheduled for May 31st, and he will share the stage with his co-host Hong Eunchae for a special performance.
