Taeyong Completed Navy Service Last Week
Taeyong was discharged from the Republic of Korea Navy on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He enlisted in April 2024 and served as a cultural promotion soldier in the Navy Band and Honor Guard. During his service, he was part of the gugak unit, performing traditional Korean music at official and ceremonial events.
He also became the first member of NCT to complete military service, a meaningful milestone for both the group and fans. His return was marked by emotional moments shared through NCT’s official accounts, including a video of him bowing deeply to his mother and photos of him in uniform holding flowers. He simply wrote, “I’m back.”
This tour builds on the success of his first solo concert, “TY TRACK,” which took place in Seoul in February 2024. That show featured songs from his first two mini-albums, SHALALA and TAP, and was praised for its strong storytelling and performance style. The concert was later turned into a film that screened in theaters in Korea and Japan in late 2024.
With his military service completed, Taeyong is stepping back into the spotlight quickly and confidently. Alongside his solo tour and festival appearance, he will also release a solo album and make a comeback with NCT U.
Meanwhile, other members such as Jaehyun, Doyoung, and Jungwoo are currently serving in the military.
