K-pop girl group NewJeans has made a meaningful donation to the Korea Scholarship Foundation, utilizing funds raised from their recent university festival appearances.
On June 3, ADOR expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement NewJeans received while performing at seven university festivals in a week.
The agency shared they felt compelled to give back to students facing challenges and in need of assistance.
The donations from ADOR and NewJeans will be dedicated to providing financial support for low-income college students, covering essential living and housing expenses.
The Korea Scholarship Foundation expressed their gratitude to ADOR and NewJeans for supporting financially needy college students.
They aimed to use the funds to support students struggling financially, “We will do our best to help college students in difficult circumstances continue their studies in a stable manner, and we hope that the scholarship students will follow the wishes of the donors and become members of society who practice a virtuous cycle of sharing.”
Last month, NewJeans performed at seven university festivals including Korea University (May 25), Chosun University (May 27), Dongeui University (May 28), Pusan University (May 28), Dongguk University (May 30), Sejong University (May 30), and Chung-Ahn University (May 31).
On another note, NewJeans dropped the new single How Sweet on May 24 and is now gearing up for a Japan debut.
