On April 1, reports from Taiwanese media like ET Today stated that there were rumors circulating on a local online community suggesting that NewJeans had engaged in unauthorized filming in a lane in Taiwan.

A Taiwanese netizen who had visited the NewJeans music video filming location recently alleged that the staff had inconvenienced citizens and displayed rude behavior. However, it was later confirmed by ADOR that these claims were unfounded.

ADOR addressed the allegations saying, “The content currently circulating online is not true. We received official filming permission from Taiwan’s city hall and police, and we filmed within the scope of the filming permission.”

The agency mentioned that during the filming, the staff on-site held signs requesting no photography, but some individuals still took pictures in the filming control area. They politely asked for the pictures to be deleted on the spot, and everyone cooperated. Although there was some shouting at the filming site, there were no instances of disrespectful behavior.

The Taiwanese media, which initially reported on the incident, corrected the misinformation later.

On another note, NewJeans is set to release a double single on May 24. Following that, on June 21, they will release another double single in Japan, marking their official debut.
