NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ Surpasses Over 680K Copies Sold, Sweeps Korean and Japanese Music Charts

Just like their last single How Sweet dropped on May 24, NewJeans is making waves with their second single Supernatural.

On June 21, NewJeans made their official debut in Japan with the release of Supernatural.

As of June 21, according to the Hanteo Chart, NewJeans’ Japanese debut single Supernatural achieved impressive sales of 685,753 copies on its release day, claiming the top spot on the daily album chart.

Not only that, the group is topping the Japanese and Korean charts with the title track, Supernatural.

They set multiple records with How Sweet, which became a million-seller, leading to all four of their consecutive albums reaching million-seller status.

Supernatural, the title track, solidified its popularity in the local market by taking the top spot on the ‘Top 100’ real-time chart on Line Music as well as on the AWA real-time rising chart. It is also gaining traction on major Korean local music charts like Melon and Genie.

Furthermore, it achieved remarkable success on iTunes, topping the ‘Top Albums’ charts in 7 countries/regions, including Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. It reached 3rd place on the ‘Worldwide iTunes Albums’ chart. 

The title track Supernatural dominated the ‘Top Song’ charts, claiming the number one spot in over 25 countries/regions. The music video for Supernatural has garnered nearly 3 million followers.

NewJeans is currently occupied with promotional activities in Japan, previously performed their song on Mezamashi TV and Mezamashi 8, then moved on to the evening slot on TV Asahi’s

Music Station. Today (June 22), NewJeans is set to make an appearance on Nippon TV’s ‘with MUSIC’.

Moreover, they will hold the Bunnies Camp fanmeeting on June 26-27.
