NewJeans has just scored another major win at one of America’s top music award shows.
Billboard has just released the list of winners for the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, and NewJeans is set to take home the prestigious Group of the Year Award.
This is a historic moment as NewJeans becomes the first female K-pop artist to win in this category. They are all set to attend the awards ceremony at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, USA on March 6th.
The Billboard Women in Music Awards has been celebrating and recognizing the incredible contributions of female artists, creators, producers, and executives since its inception in 2007.

NewJeans made a huge splash in the global music scene in 2023. Their second EP, Get Up, skyrocketed to the top of the US Billboard main album chart, also known as the Billboard 200.
They achieved this impressive feat in just one year since their debut, making them the fastest K-pop group to reach the number one spot. Get Up stayed on the chart for a remarkable 26 consecutive weeks, tying the record with BLACKPINK for the longest-running chart presence by a K-pop girl group.
