Oh My Girl’s YooA revealed prepping hard for her solo comeback.
YooA’s upcoming single album Borderline marks her return after about 1 year and 4 months since her last release, the second mini album SELFISH, which dropped on November 22. It is expected to show a more mature and artistic side of YooA.
Recently, in an interview with a Korean media outlet, she revealed her secret to losing cheek fat, saying, “First of all, I dieted hard, I lost about 4 KG. I weigh about 41 KG or 42 KG.”
Further, she revealed the reason for losing weight, “Being thin doesn’t mean it’s right, but since the bird is symbolic of this concept, I thought a thin and decadent image would go well with it to go beyond the boundaries and show an enterprising and bold image.”
At the same time, YooA clarified that she does not think being thin is the standard of beauty. She went on to say, “I wanted to change my face because I thought it would look too cute because my face was round and fleshy.”
Besides losing weight, she also got a hair makeover for the comeback. YooA shared about her hair transformation saying, “I like black hair the most, but I changed my hair color for the first time in a long time.”
Lastly, her first single album, Borderline, is releasing today.
