Noh Sang Hyun (aka Steve Noh) is set to reunite with his Pachinko co-star Kim Min Ha in the upcoming Netflix film “Stardust.” This will be their second project together after Pachinko, but this time they will meet in a completely different genre.

According to OSEN on January 4, Noh Sang-hyun recently received the script for Stardust. After reviewing it positively, he decided to appear in the film. While Pachinko was a period melodrama, the duo will reunite this time for a rom-com, if confirmed.

Noh Sang Hyun will play the male lead, Hyeon Tae, and Kim Min Ha will star opposite him, and the two will appear as longtime lovers.

The casting is drawing attention because of their past work together in Apple TV+’s global series Pachinko. Released worldwide in 2022, the series continued through Season 2, which aired in 2024. In Pachinko, Noh played Isak, a gentle pastor, while Kim played Sunja, and the two played a married couple.

In the series, Isak is imprisoned for seven years and later returns home seriously ill. One of the most talked-about scenes shows Sunja realizing she cannot save him and simply wanting to sit close to him and share warmth during his final moments. For Season 2, Noh Sang Hyun went through a major physical transformation. He lost seven to eight kilograms and wore special dentures to realistically portray a dying man.

Kim Min Ha, who played Sunja from her youth into adulthood and motherhood, received praise from critics.

Pachinko became a turning point for both actors. Now, after two years, they will reunite on Netflix. Unlike before, they will not play a married couple but lovers in a modern romantic comedy. Stardust will also mark Kim Min Ha’s first lead role in the romantic comedy genre.

She recently appeared as a leading lady in Typhoon Family, opposite actor and 2PM member, Lee Junho. Next, the 30-year-old actress will appear in Netflix’s Dead-End Job, which also stars Lee Jae Wook and Go Min Si.

Noh Sang Hyun is also preparing to meet viewers through another major project. He has recently completed filming for the MBC drama “Perfect Crown.” The drama is set in a modern-day constitutional monarchy in South Korea. Noh plays Min Jeong Woo, the Prime Minister, who comes from a political family.

He is the close friend and confidant of Prince Yi Ahn, played by Byeon Woo Seok. IU stars as Sung Hee Joo, and expectations are high for Noh’s chemistry with both IU and Byeon Woo Seok. The drama is scheduled to air on April 3, 2026, on MBC and will also be available on Disney+.

In addition, Noh Sang Hyun had a strong year. He won Best New Actor awards at both the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Korean Film Producers Association Awards for his leading role in the film “Love in the Big City,” where he portrayed a young gay man living in Seoul.

The Netflix film “Stardust” is scheduled to begin filming in the first half of 2026.
