Undercover Miss Hong will premiere on January 17, 2026, on tvN and TVING and wrap on March 8, 2026. It will air as part of tvN’s weekend drama lineup. New episodes will be broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST. The drama will have a total of 16 episodes and will take over the time slot previously held by Pro Bono.
Plot Overview
Undercover Miss Hong is set in late-1990s Seoul, just before the IMF financial crisis. It follows Hong Geum Bo, played by Park Shin Hye, a 35-year-old elite inspector working for the Financial Supervisory Service. She is calm, intelligent, and highly capable.
When suspicious fund movements are discovered at Hanmin Securities, Geum-bo is given an unusual undercover assignment. Because she looks much younger than her age, she disguises herself as Hong Jang Mi, a 20-year-old high school graduate with no work experience.
She joins Hanmin Securities as a junior employee. Inside the company, she struggles with entry-level office life. She faces awkward situations, workplace drama, and daily chaos. At the same time, she secretly gathers evidence for her investigation.
Her mission becomes more complicated when she meets Sin Jeong Woo (Go Kyung Pyo), the new CEO of Hanmin Securities. He is a sharp, numbers-driven corporate raider. He is also a man from Geum Bo’s past, and the two share a complicated history .Jeong Woo quickly notices that Jang Mi looks exactly like the woman he once loved.

Undercover Miss Hong is directed by Park Seon Ho, who previously worked on Business Proposal, Brewing Love, and Suspicious Partner. The script is written by Moon Hyun Kyung, known for Into the Ring. The series is planned and produced by Studio Dragon along with Celltrion Entertainment.
During early development, the drama used the working title Miss Undercover Boss. It was later finalized as Undercover Miss Hong.
