Park Sung Hoon will likely be the leading man in a new time-travel drama by a renowned director!
In late September, Korean media outlet OSEN reported that YoonA was approached to star in a new drama The Tyrant’s Chef (tentative title).
On December 2, Hankyung reported that Park Sung Hoon will join the Girls’ Generation star in a new drama. The “Queen of Tears” actor will portray the role of a male protagonist.
The upcoming drama is making waves not only for its star-studded cast but also with the renowned director Jang Tae Yoo at the helm. Director Jang is well-known for directing hit dramas such as “Lovers of the Red Sky” and “My Love From The Star.”
“The Tyrant’s Chef” is about a top chef who travels back in time and meets a king who is known for being cruel, but also a food lover.
Park Sung Hoon will portray a king with two contrasting sides: a brutal tyrant and a passionate foodie in the new drama.
The 39-year-old actor has appeared in many memorable roles including “The Glory,” “Not Others,” “Queen of Tears,” and more. He is also part of the star-studded cast of “Squid Game,” which will be available to stream starting December 26.
On the other hand, YoonA is set to return to TV screens two years after the premiere of her hit drama “King The Land” with Lee Jun Ho. She will also return to the big screen with the movie “Pretty Crazy” alongside Ahn Bo Hyun next year.
Meanwhile, talks are underway for “The Tyrant’s Chef” to air on tvN in 2025.
