Sasaengs and those with malicious motives are still a constant problem for ENHYPEN and ILLIT, K-pop groups under BELIFT LAB (HYBE Subsidiary).

Despite stronger warnings, ongoing lawsuits, and heavy penalties, these obsessive fans remain active and continue to cause problems for the idols.

Sasaeng fans—extreme fans who stalk or invade idols’ private spaces—remain a serious problem in the K-pop industry. They often leak personal info, flight details, and go as far as switching idols’ in-flight meals.

Sasaengs Break into ENHYPEN’s Dorm

On Monday (June 30), BELIFT LAB confirmed that sasaengs illegally entered ENHYPEN’s dorm and attempted to secretly film the members without their consent. According to the company’s official statement released this week, the trespassers were caught on-site and immediately reported to the police.

Local law enforcement responded quickly, and the intruders were arrested at the scene. BELIFT LAB said it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation and promised strict legal action to protect the artists’ privacy and safety.

A recent incident that shocked everyone was when a Chinese woman tried to enter BTS’ Jungkook’s house on the day of military discharge, June 11. While the woman was arrested, the Seven singer could not go home to rest.

Coming back to the subject, this isn’t the first time ENHYPEN has faced such issues. They have been swarmed by fans at airports more than once, with some members even falling during the chaos.

BELIFT LAB explained that these incidents have increased and become more serious, even with repeated warnings. Some extreme fans have illegally gotten hold of the members’ phone numbers or home addresses and have tried to contact them or show up at their residences.

The agency added that they have been keeping a close eye on posts that spread false or illegally obtained personal details about ENHYPEN and will “pursue all possible civil and criminal legal action against these illegal activities.”

ILLIT Deepfake Creators Sentences to Prison

Meanwhile, in a separate case, a court has sentenced the creators of a deepfake video involving ILLIT to prison. BELIFT LAB confirmed that those who sexually harassed ILLIT online have now been turned over to prosecutors. Plus, the individuals behind the deepfake videos have received prison sentences.

The agency confirmed that it regularly files lawsuits against those spreading sexual insults and creating manipulated videos.

A criminal complaint has already been filed against people who posted sexually abusive comments. They shared that the suspects have been identified and their cases have been handed over to prosecutors.

BELIFT LAB also made it clear that even those who hide behind anonymous social media accounts like Telegram can be traced through international cooperation. The agency stressed that it will not show any leniency toward spreading false rumors, defamation, or sexual harassment. They promised to keep taking strong action using reports from fans and its own monitoring.
