Red Velvet Irene debuted as a successful solo artist last month!
The 33-year-old dropped her first EP titled “Like A Flower” on November 26. On the first day of album release, “Like A Flower” sold 250,063 copies.
Released on November 26, it sold 336,805 copies in its debut week. With this impressive feat, Irene sets two new records: 7th highest first-week sales by a K-Pop female solo artist, and the best first-week sales by a female SM Entertainment artist.
“Like A Flower” boasts 7 amazing songs including a leading single of the same name. In addition, it features “Calling Me Back,” “Summer Rain,” Start Line,” “Winter Wish,” “Strawberry Silhouette,” “I Feel Pretty,” and “Ka-Ching.”
The leading track “Like A Flower” is a vibrant pop dance track that inspires listeners to face life’s challenges with small acts of courage, just like a flower blooms beautifully on its own.
In addition, Irene topped the Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart retail album charts daily and reached #1 on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 23 regions worldwide. Plus, she claimed the top spot on China’s QQ Music digital album sales chart, with remarkable initial sales of 330,000 copies.
