A Perfect All-Kill on Korean charts and a new record – ‘APT.’ is taking the music world by storm.
Nearly 10 days after its release, Rosé and Bruno Mars have shattered multiple records. The song is rewriting history and becoming one of the biggest songs by a K-pop act.
Released on October 18, just 24 hours after its surprise announcement, ‘APT.’ has topped major international and Korean music charts without any promotions.
After achieving real-time all-kill, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” achieved Perfect All-Kill by topping Melon (Daily, TOP100), Genie (TOP 100 Daily & Real-time), YouTube (Top Songs), FLO (24 Hours), VIBE (Today Top 100), Bugs (Song Chart Daily and Real Time), and iChart (Weekly and Real Time).
With 21.1M streams, ‘APT.’ shatters BTS’ previous record (‘Butter’ – 20.7M), securing the biggest streaming week in YouTube Music Korea history. “Butter” is one of the most loved songs by BTS, which is nearing 1 billion views on YouTube.
Previously, Rosé broke BLACKPINK’s record by scoring the biggest streaming day on Spotify, surpassing “Pink Venom.”
It has become the second most-streamed song by a K-pop act in Spotify history, only behind BTS’ Jungkook’s “Seven.”
Moreover, “APT.” has occupied the top spot on US Spotify for 6 days. The “On The Ground” singer became the first K-pop female soloist to top US Spotify, joining Jungkook and Jimin as the only K-pop soloists ever to do so.
More recently, Rosé achieved the highest-charting entry (#4) by a K-pop female soloist on the UK Singles chart. In addition, “APT.” is predicted to land in the Top 10 of Billboard HOT 100, if so, it would be the highest-charting entry by a K-pop female act, surpassing BLACKPINK and FIFTY FIFTY.
On another note, Rosé will release her first-ever studio album “rosie” on December 6 before resuming BLACKPINK activities next year.
