Ryan Reynolds is a known Stray Kids enthusiast, and now he’s upping his fan game by appearing in the music video for their upcoming title track, CHK CHK BOOM.
On July 13, JYP Entertainment unveiled a teaser for the music video of the title track from the album, ATE, on all social media channels.
In a surprise appearance, Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds features in the teaser video for Stray Kids’ latest music video, CHK CHK BOOM.
Released on JYP’s official YouTube channel, the teaser shows Reynolds playing a news anchor on a small TV screen, before cutting to the group’s members standing on a vibrant, graffiti-covered street and a rooftop with a cityscape backdrop.
Stray Kids’ connection to Ryan Reynolds dates back to 2021, with their performance inspired by the Deadpool character on Kingdom.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman visited Korea this month to promote Deadpool & Wolverine. The Proposal actor had the chance to meet two of Stray Kids’ Australian members Bang Chan and Felix and filmed some exciting content together.
On another note, they’re set to release their mini-album ATE on August 19, led by the title track CHK CHK BOOM, a confident and addictive Latin-style hip-hop anthem.
In addition, Stray Kids has performances lined up at festivals like London’s ‘British Summer Time Hyde Park‘, SBS Gayo Daejeon, and a brand-new world tour, DominATE, kicking off in Seoul this August.
