Filming has officially wrapped up for the highly anticipated crime romance movie starring Seo In Guk, ex-NMIXX member Jini, Jo Byeong Gyu, and Yoo In Soo.
“Boy” is a romantic crime movie about Jane, who moves to a Texas hot springs in Pogu City. The hot springs is run by Rohan, his brother Kyohan, and the neighborhood hat seller. The film explores the characters’ struggles and relationships, starring Jo Byeong Gyu, Seo In Guk, Yoo In Soo, and Jini.
Jo Byeong Gyu stars as Rohan, a young man tied to a life of crime, and Seo In Guk as the hat seller, who controls the city’s underworld.
Yoo In Soo, who impressed audiences in “Death’s Game” and “All of Us Are Dead,” plays Kyohan.
Particularly, the film is generating a lot of buzz since it will be former NMIXX member Jini’s first venture into the acting world.
She parted ways with NMIXX and JYP Entertainment in December 2022 due to personal reasons and signed with a new agency UAP in April 2023. In September last year, Jini made her debut as a soloist with the mini-album “An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove.”
Jo Byeong Gyu recently wowed viewers with performances in the movie “Once Again” and drama “The Uncanny Counter 2.”
Yoo In Soo’s notable acting credits include “Death’s Game,” “The Midnight Studio,” “The Uncanny Counter 2,” and “Daily Dose of Sunshine.”
On the other hand, Seo In Guk is working on exciting projects including a romantic drama “Monthly Boyfriend” with Jisoo and a fantasy drama “Twelve” alongside Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, and more.
Acclaimed rookie director Lee Sang Deok, known for his debut film “Write or Dance” (2017) and award-winning “Film Adventure,” has helmed “Boy.”
The highly anticipated youth crime romance film “Boy” will hit theaters in the first half of 2025.
